BEFORE YOU Rent, HERE’S WHAT TO KNOW

  • Dumpster size depends on the type of project, the amount of debris you expect to generate and what you’re throwing away. A small cleanout may only require a 10- or 15-yard container, while larger renovations, construction and demolition projects may require a 20-, 30- or 40-yard dumpster. Tell HEI about your project and we’ll help you determine the right size.

  • Yes. Certain materials may be prohibited or require special handling or disposal. Before loading hazardous materials, liquids, chemicals, tires, batteries or other unusual items, contact HEI to confirm what can be accepted in your dumpster.

  • Roll-off dumpsters may be subject to weight limits depending on the container, material and disposal requirements. Heavy materials such as concrete, dirt, roofing material or other dense debris can reach weight limits before a dumpster is physically full. Let HEI know what you’re disposing of when requesting your rental so we can help you choose the appropriate container.

  • Roll-off dumpsters require enough room not only for the container itself, but also for the truck to safely deliver and retrieve it. The exact space needed depends on the dumpster size, access to the property and placement location. If you’re unsure whether your site has enough clearance, HEI can discuss placement with you before delivery.

  • Depending on the property and accessibility, a driveway may be an option for dumpster placement. The surface should be suitable for the weight of the container, truck and loaded dumpster. HEI can help determine whether your preferred placement location is accessible for delivery and pickup.

  • That depends on the site and whether placement instructions can be clearly established beforehand. When scheduling your rental, HEI can let you know what is needed for delivery and make sure the driver knows where the container should be placed.

  • Once you’ve finished your project or the dumpster is ready to be removed, contact HEI to coordinate pickup. For longer or higher-volume projects, ask about options if you expect to need continued dumpster service after the first container is full.

  • Availability can vary by dumpster size, location and scheduling. Contacting HEI as early as possible gives our team the best opportunity to have the size you need available when your project begins.

  • Our dumpster rental services are straightforward. You choose the right size, we deliver the roll off container to your location, and you fill it at your own pace. Once you’re done, we schedule pickup and handle proper waste management from start to finish.
